I Stood By Your Bed Last Night

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you so softly, as you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you' I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea.
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wished I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you that I am not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your keys.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said "It's me."

You looked so very tired and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It's possible for me to be, so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over now...
I smile and watch you yawning, And say "Goodnight, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out...
Then come home to be with me.

nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me
as if I were beside you...
I loved you so--
'twas Heaven there with you."

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called The Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to
Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of
our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water
and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who
were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our
dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one
small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks
into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he
begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him
faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling
together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your
face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your
heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

 APRIL 27, 2009

To our precious one, Timothy!

It has been 2 years today that you passed to the Rainbow Bridge...
It is like it was yesterday and we miss you so much. We will never
forget when you would meow for me to get your twin blanket so
you could drag it all over the apartment.

Thank you for coming into our lives and giving us such joy..

All our love,
Mom and Dad and your sisters and brothers
April 27, 2009

That was overwhelming to us and we loved seeing you do this everyday.
You did funny things and we miss seeing you and all your loving ways
about you. I loved it so when you got on my lap at night for a little while.
Your tail would swish back and forth over my legs.

OH! By the way, Kathy and Chester moved back in with us,
so we are a 9 cat family again.  Chester has attitude issues when he sneaks
out of his room. He's not too crazy about your brothers and sisters, but
he likes to sit at the back door and watch the lizards.
Buddy and your dad are good companions. Buddy reminds us so much of you,
dear Timmy.

   APRIL 27, 2008

Dear Timothy,
Today has been a year that you went to the Rainbow Bridge.
Your brothers and sisters missed you too. When they passed your memorial,
they sat and paused in memory of your passing. Matthew stayed close there
remembering how close brothers you were,
when you slept together and waited at the
pantry door together when it was feeding time, and when you would lay
in the afternoon sun together.
We  miss you so much in our lives, until we meet again dear one~

To our dear sweet Timothy
for the Christmas of 2007.
We miss you so very much but
we know that you will be with us in spirit,
and with all your sisters and brothers.
Our love,
Mom and Dad~

Timothy

The name is King Timothy!"King" of the Kitty Kondo.
I have been here since I was adopted on Thanksgiving '95.
I rule this household!

Timmy arrived at our home the week of Thanksgiving 1995, given to us by our daughter Kathy, who lives near us here in southern Florida. He was such a tiny little black and white kitten, and so dear and sweet and to this day, he still has the sweetest meow when he talks to us.  He was born in October of 1995. This was the beginning of our kitty experiences with having this wonderful creature sharing our home with us. One thing led to another and we thought that Timmy needed some companionship, and now this dear kitty has some sisters and brothers. He is the first of the six that we have. This kitty being the first kitty will always have a special place in our hearts.

This beautiful black and white cat has such a wonderful personality and is quite a charmer. He charmed all the employees  at our veterinarian's, when he was very ill in February of 1998. They all loved Timmy!  He had to be hospitalized at the animal clinic. We refer to it  as our cat clinic.
We are very fortunate to have these fantastic animal doctors that take care of our kitty kids. Now this is a purrfect clinic! They are so wonderful to our kitties. We have put our faith in these people as they do so well in treating and caring for them. It's amazing what they can do for the animals. The clinic itself is decorated so attractively with the animal theme, with such a "homey" feeling. Timmy felt very comfortable with everyone during his stay while he was ill.

When he was a kitten, he loved to hide under the covers, and play and run all over our home. He loved to go into the bathroom and get a hold of the roll of toilet tissue and bring it all the way into the living room. He was fascinated with that. He loves to get on his back with his paws in the air and look at us upside down. When he was little, his ears looked bigger for the size of his head. During his first Christmas, he tried to climb into the Christmas tree.

Timmy, as all cats, has always been very curious and checks us out after we come back from shopping or just out for a while. He is very anxious and curious when we come back from PetsMart, our pet market. He checks out the shopping bags and with his curious mind and says..
"What cha got for me, Mom?" Timmy's favorite sleeping position has always been on his back when he is relaxed, just like when he was a kitten.

When Timmy wants his morning meal and we are not out of bed, Timmy will come up on the bed and stand on his dad's chest and look at him right straight in the face, to let us know that it's meal time and could we ever sleep late? Never!
When Timmy was a few months old, he needed a cat companion. We went to our humane society here in our city and adopted a Tuxedo young cat, named Molly. We kept her given name, and Tim and Molly have been together since Molly arrived here with us. There will be more about Molly on her page.
Pictures of Timmy below, when he was a kitten and only three months old. He loved to pose for the camera. He was a ham for the camera and still is.

Tim's favorite spot        The leader of the cat gang  Waiting in kitchen for dinner

As much as I loved the life we had
and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew
my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wonderous image then
 of a place that's trouble-free
where all of us can meet again
 to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow,
and on the other side
were meadows rich and beautiful
-- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows
as far as the eye could see
were animals of every sort
 as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body
was fresh and healed and new
and I wanted to go run with them,
but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you,
 to tell you I'm alright.
That this place is truly wonderful,
then a bright glow pierced the night.
'Twas the glow of many candles
shining bright and strong and bold
and I knew then that it held your love
in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together
in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord
that no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me,
 we're never far apart,
if you look beyond the Rainbow
 and listen with your heart.

December 15 2001
Our Timothy has been diagnosed with diabetes and had to be hospitalized for a while at the animal clinic where we had taken all our kitties, then.
Timmy was hospitalized for a while for his diabetes at that pet clinic here in our city of Sarasota, Florida. His doctor worked with Timmy to regulate his blood glucose level. The recommended dose of his insulin was determined at the clinic and has needed adjustments after he came home. We go back every Saturday for a recheck of his glucose level. His insulin injections at home began with 1 unit, to 2 units the following week and as of December 15, 2001, Timmy is getting 3 units of insulin daily. Timmy has become more affectionate and  not chasing his sister Molly all the time. Molly likes the change in him. Timmy likes to talk more than he did before his illness.
This was when we had the other veterinarian.

On 2/9/07,
Tim's glucose, very high again. Have to give him 4 units twice daily and Dr. Nick will call tonight for sure on how many units to give him over the weekend. Then back to the vet on Monday. Gave him a shot of something for his tummy. Tim got into the other cats' food and it has too many carbohydrates. messes up his glucose. It's very important that Tim being a diabetic cat  and he throw it up and we are back to square one again. He hasn't been meowing much the past 2 days. He lost one pound as compared to his weight in December of 2006.

2/10/07~ He woke me up this morning with his meowing as he was hungry. He was in the bathroom by his bowl so I gave him some food. He didn't eat much yesterday as he wasn't feeling gud. The 4 units of his insulin seem help him to feel better. There is an improvement. He was very vocal this morning.
We are trying to encourage him to eat his DM dry to keep his glucose levels stable.

March 16, '07
Tim had 3 blood Glucose curve. He was at the vet's clinic for one half day. His glucose went up too high but came back down a little. He gets stressed on his way over to the vet's clinic and the glucose goes up. He has seemed relaxed between times of the visits.

April 2, 2007~  Time for another recheck for Tim. He has been on 3 units of his insulin, twice daily, PZI, for just about 3 weeks...as opposed to 3 weeks before that, he was on 2 units twice daily. He is to have another curve today  with Dr. Nick for Tim's glucose levels. We hope to get him stable sometime soon. Plus I think Tim has a skin condition as he gets irritated and biting sometimes when he grooms.
Tim still seems relaxed at home and likes to rest in his favorite places.

April 27,2007~    Tim had a good three weeks with no problems and was a happy cat until yesterday April 26, 2007, and was very very sick. His body was limp and listless and he looked terrible this morning with no energy. He is in with the vet and they have been running tests on him. We were informed that maybe his kidneys are shutting down. Not good news for us. I was hoping for some better news for Tim. I'm not ready to let go of him at this time. My poor boy.
His brother, Andy is here beside me snuggling and rubbing my arm to try and make me feel better. What a day!

Timothy has passed today and we miss him so very much. He was a very special cat and our first baby. I know he is free from suffering and in a better place and playing with the other kitties that has passed on. It is very hard to lose this kitty as he was the King of our cat family. My email is named after Timmy and his sister, Molly.
We would call Tim, "Mr. Majestic," because he was so poised in appearance, good as gold, honarable, like "Royalty, ' when he would sit or lay as he rested or napped.
He was such a good cat and was very well liked at his vet clinic. He stole the show!
Timmy had this thing with a white and a light green blanket that, the they were twin bed size, and he would drag it all over where ever we were. I'd ask him, "Tim, do you want your blankie? He would meow frantically, and want me to follow him to get the blanket for him. He would get it in his mouth, knead it and then drag it all over the apartment.

~October, 2005

Timothy has passed today, April 27, 2007, and we miss him so very much. He was a very special cat and our first baby. We went to his exam room and the vet, Dr. Lantry, brought him in and lay him down on the exam table, and we spoke about Tim's tests and that his kidneys were shutting down. He looked like he was ready to leave us and didn't respond to us when we talked to him. We knew that it was time to put him down so he wouldn't suffer anymore. He looked worse than when I took him into the animal hospital this morning. It just wasn't our Tim, and he was dying. Our poor boy. I know he is free from suffering and in a better place and playing with the other kitties that have passed on. It is very hard to lose this kitty as he was the King of our cat family. The leader and all the cats looked up to him.We would call Tim, "Mr. Majestic," because he was so poised in appearance, above reproach, honorable, like "Royalty, when he would sit or lay as he rested or napped.
He was such a good cat and was very well liked at his vet clinic. He stole the show!
He didn't stay in a cage. He had an exam room of his own. Sometimes when we went to pick him up after his diabetic testing, we could hear his voice!

We helped him to go to his place with God. Dr. Lantry injected the injection that was to take him to a better place and it was very very hard to watch him pass into
Eternal Life.
Bless you dear Timothy. We will miss you so much and your sweet meow when you would want your food and your pet fountain filled with the water that you craved.
Thank you sweet Timmy for coming into our lives as you were the most wonderful cat in the world!! We will never forget you ever!

Here are pictures of my life with my brothers and sisters of our happy home life full of love.
We got to eat, sleep and play. We would watch the world out the door and windows and sometimes
we would chatter at the birds that would be in the grass playing.

We cats liked to look out the door.

We had to help Timothy to the Bridge today.
His kidneys shut down and he was not responding
to treatment or food and water.
We both cried as this cat was our first cat and
very special. He would have been 12 years this fall.

Timmy was SUCH a wonderful cat! He was the head cat of your group. What a sweet boy and what a personality!
Nancy, he did so well for so long because you were home with him and gave him your full attention.
He knew he was cared for and loved.

Dear Nancy and Owen,

I know there are no words that can even attempt to console you at this very sad time.  Just know
that Timmy had a good life and you did what you could for him.  He was a beautiful kitty for sure
and I am so glad I got to meet him.  I have always told everyone I have never seen a kitty sit so
tall and straight as Timothy did and ya know he is walking tall at the Bridge and just think hungry
and with no pain or need for medicine and injections.  I know it is so very hard to let the physical
body go but he will always remain in your heart and his spirit is with you always.  When you least
expect it, you will "feel" Timmy there with you.  My heart breaks for you my friend as I fight the
tears myself.  I know that Bo was there to welcome him and show him around.  I am glad Timmy's
passing was peaceful and you were right there with him showing him all your love.  One day the
memories will overshadow the sadness you feel now.   Soon he will be back home with you and
one day you will meet again.

Lots of hugs and prayers,
Nancy

No need for thanks my friend.  Just wanted to be here for you.  I will send a tribute for dear Timmy
when I can.  You will miss him every day of the rest of your life--I still miss my Bo so much but it
will get easier to cope but will take a while.  The love we have for our furry ones is beyond the
human type love that only us who love them can understand.  I have Bo at Rainbows Bridge of
course and you do have to pay but can have a really nice Memorial.  I know Timmy was your
special baby.  Take your time with a tribute page--just do at your own pace.  That is what I did
with Bo's site.  When I get my website moved and up again, I want to update Bo's Angel pages
and would be honored to have Timmy be on there.  How are the other kitties doing?  I bet they
will miss Timmy.

Hugs
Nancy

 Nancy, Owen and the kitty's,
We are so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Timmy. No words can express how you feel when you lose a member of your family.
Know you are all being thought about and prayed for.
Timmy is now in Rainbow Bridge with my Poddy, Boo and Watty and is very happy.
Timmy was met by many kitty angels when he arrived I am sure.
He is your guardian angel kitty now.
